Rust is a real worry for any car owner, but particularly those with classic cars. Thankfully there are products available that can be applied to the core areas of weakness to stop rust developing. The places that rust tend to be wheel rims, bumpers, door frames and around the headlights. Although obviously you can get rust anywhere, it does seem to be linked to the joins of the car where water sits rather than runs off. Stopping corrosion can be done simply by applying a spray that works like a sealant. You just need to spray it on, smooth it over with a clean dry cloth and let it seal for 24 hours. The spray must by kept dry during this time. With the use of corrosion inhibition spray you will see a marked difference on your car this winter (spring, summer and autumn too, it is Britain after all!).
